I have been hearing a lot about activist judges and how they are an abomination on the judicial landscape. Now, it is my understanding that it is the responsibility of the judges, especially in the higher courts to consider a certain law and how that law resonates with the state’s constitution. It also seems that certain state courts have decided that a certain state’s constitution allows certain events to take place. Certain people have labeled these judges “acti...

We all know angels, white robes, halos, wings. Cute beings doing things benefiting mankind. Everyone of them, happy and helpful. Everyone except the ANGEL OF DEATH!!!!!! God is trying to kill me. I say this not out of supposition but out of fact. Also, this is notthe ramblings of a paranoid mind. After listing to the Christian radio stations and television shows. I have come to this conclusion. Every show I listen to talks about God’s plan for me, how God will guide me, how the bad things that happen are His tests for me to overcome and grow in faith from. And that if I follow his lead I will attain peace. Now, if God plans the events in my lif...

A member of JU posted an article a while back about what it would take to put forth a genuine candidate for the Presidency. Or, if in fact, could it be done. I believe it could, with certain criteria. Notoriety: The candidate, while not being a household name, must have done something beneficially significant in the past such that a large number of people know about it and could convert others to liking the individual by passing on the information. Notice I did not say vote for, just like....

Dear Mr. Vice President, A word if you would. You appear to be operating under a misconception. You seem to have equated complacency and normalcy with ignorance and inattentiveness. I say this because during your debate and numerous times afterwards you have repeatedly spoken of nuclear and biologic weapons smuggled into the heartland, catastrophic attacks against the populous by terrorist cells and destruction on an incalculable scale. Mr. Vice President, you are telling us someth...

My daughters are taking swimming classes at the “Y”. They are doing well. My middle child just graduated to Eel. My eldest is also doing well. She has the moves for the different strokes, but she does not have the stamina for prolonged movement. It is something she will have to work on. They all enjoy it. I never quite got the hang of water though. I mean I can swim enough to not drown. I can move with relative ease through the water, but I never felt quite comfortable there. It’s kin...

I have a question about the recent events in Iraq. Now, a soldier is required to follow any non-immoral order given to them. And, it is assumed that any order given in a combat situation comes with the possibility of bodily injury. Now, at the current state of various explanations the men were asked to go into an area known to occupied by decently armed men, with unarmored or at the least poorly armored vehicles and limited ammunition with what they perceive as a limited chance of non-inj...

I work in a Library and if someone asked me a question about Israel, I would not launch in to my opinion on health care. Now, is it just me or are these gentlemen not able to answer a given question with out bullet points. Even the moderator, after asking a question about Israel mentioned (in passing) that neither of them answered the question. Sirs, I know that a number of American people are not going to like the answers, but we need to hear them during the debate, not from "handlers"...
