My daughters are taking swimming classes at the “Y”. They are doing well. My middle child just graduated to Eel. My eldest is also doing well. She has the moves for the different strokes, but she does not have the stamina for prolonged movement. It is something she will have to work on.

They all enjoy it.

I never quite got the hang of water though. I mean I can swim enough to not drown. I can move with relative ease through the water, but I never felt quite comfortable there. It’s kind of like you are invited to a party of a co-worker you do not know well and you arrive and enter their house and even though you are welcome, there is a vibe in the house that doesn’t agree with you. You have fun at the party and the house is very nice, but there is a small thought in the back of you mind, that this is not a place for a long stay.

My girls would stay in until they get pruney.

Take care.

I love to swim.  I can go a mile in the water and get out with spaghetti legs and still want to swim more.

My 3 kids all learned to swim this summer.  My two eldest can freestyle and backstroke, and my youngest can dog-paddle until the cows come home (100 meters the last time we were in the pool!).

How old are your kids?

2 1/2, 4 1/2 and recently 7.

Yes, mine do not seem to tire either.
