Could you be more vague?
Published on May 26, 2004 By InfoGeek In Current Events
This is one of the news stories today:

“The United States has credible intelligence from multiple sources that the al-Qaida terror network is determined to “hit the United States hard” in the coming months in a strike that could be linked to events such as a coming international economic summit and the summer political conventions.”

Now, I realize that they want to keep us informed, but are they really telling us anything that we do not know? I mean, I have basically been expecting another attack, especially after Spain. It is almost a given that someone will try something at some time.

Could they be any more vague? Month? City? State?

It may just be me, but this information, or lack there of, does nothing but raise my stress level.

The media does seem to have a firm grasp of the obvious.

Slow news day, restate the obvious.

just stay in a mild form of fear until it hits...

Well, I guess the terrorists have won. If you can keep people in a perpetual state of fear, then you have done something to damage their quality of life. Pity the government seems to be quite happy to help them in this task!
I agree with Mason - if the media have nothing new to say they'll just reword something old to make it sound like it's breaking news.
Thanks for the comments on my blog, IG. Don't sweat too much!
