So, let me see, according to a senior McCain advisor we now have a "real" Virgina  and another one. Should it be Unreal Virgina? Imaginary Virginia?   or so we take Gov. Palin's and Sen. Bachmann's idea and make it Anti-America Virginia. Geographers an dGoogle Maps need to know!   IG

Now, Mr. Cheney, I know that your boy is in the white house and that we have been greeted with open arms by the loving Iraqis, that the insurgents are in their death throws, and that your Republican faithful are still behind you, but I feel I must point out something. You seem to be under a slight misconception. Now I know that you avoided any unpleasantness with the accidental shooting of your friend in the face, even to have the shootee apologize to the shooter. That is f’n power...

The Republican Representative from Ohio has been elected the Majority Leader of the House. This gives the House its first Major Boehner since the Tip O'Neil Christmas party. However the House still substantially lags behind the Clinton Administration. IG

Negotiating with myself is great. I always win! Because I always agree with myself. I would never do it in public becuase that would look strange. And people are already mad at me. See, at the last card came, I didn't want to play the hand that was delt me, I wanted to play someone else's. For the love of Pete, the man has to either take more of a puase to collect himself, or get another man on the mike in his ear. Link IG

Now, this could be me not understanding the political realm, but is anyone else a little bothered by the fact that the US is at war and over 1/2 of the President's cabinet has retired? Including the Sec. of State, Defense and Homeland Security. Yes, this could be politics as usual, but this is not a usual situation. IG

There are a few current blogs on this subject, so instead of commenting, I will just write an entry. My wife is a conservative Republican. Right to Life all the way. Her family is the same. My parents are Democrat, well my father was until he passed. I am more of a moderate, yes there are still a few of us around. Now here is the most amazing part! WE GET ALONG !!! In fact my wife and I get along so well, we have three children. Now, from the vitriol spouting from both Dems and Reps...

I have been hearing a lot about activist judges and how they are an abomination on the judicial landscape. Now, it is my understanding that it is the responsibility of the judges, especially in the higher courts to consider a certain law and how that law resonates with the state’s constitution. It also seems that certain state courts have decided that a certain state’s constitution allows certain events to take place. Certain people have labeled these judges “acti...

A member of JU posted an article a while back about what it would take to put forth a genuine candidate for the Presidency. Or, if in fact, could it be done. I believe it could, with certain criteria. Notoriety: The candidate, while not being a household name, must have done something beneficially significant in the past such that a large number of people know about it and could convert others to liking the individual by passing on the information. Notice I did not say vote for, just like....

Are they reading from the ame script, just change the arab country? IG"

Delay in the national election due to terrorist attack? The problem with that is, any date you set, the terrorists will know about and plan for. Terrorists, while they do plan are also spur of the moment people. Dynamite (check), vest (check), map (check) Link Maybe we'll have secret elections... Stay tuned conspiracy theorists... this will get intertesting IG

Now, I am not the biggest fan of President Bush, but I have to vent about what happened last night. When I grew up we had 4 channels, so when there was a presidential address or important event happening, if you were a kid, you were stuck w/ PBS (and not at the time the kids shows were on). So, I grew up with a certain expectation. The president speaks, the networks cover it and we listen. So, when I heard that President Bush was going to explain how he was going to get us out of the “big ...

So, let me see if I got this straight. We are going to give governmental control over to the Iraqis. Good. But, isn't there a small faction over there that enjoy blowing themselves and others up in order to make their point in their quest for power? So we leave. The Iraqis take over. This group wants to be in power (boom). We need a new minister, government building, etc. All of a sudden there is a shift in Iraqi policy. The moderates are all silent or dead. Also, we are going to le...
